Ok...Today, the first half of the class will be spent continuing your 'out-loud' elbowing practice that we did yesterday. I will be checking today to make sure you are actually critiquing each others' work.
At the halfway point, we will begin the process of setting up cue cards.
1. Open your speech on your laptop, or in your notebook.
2. Select a highlighter / hiliter / jai alai-ter.
3. Highlight the topic sentence, or thesis statement for each of your paragraphs, including the intro, hook, conclusion, etc.
Remember that the topic sentence is the one that has the main idea for that particular paragraph. If you think there is more than one, chances are you need a paragraph break. Ask me of you have questions.
